When a Building Changes... Its Structural Condition Must Be Professionally Assessed Its Structural Condition Must Be Professionally Assessed
The appearance of cracks, concrete spalling, rust stains, or signs of settlement may indicate underlying structural issues that require a professional assessment. At ProLab, we help you determine the true condition of your building through on-site inspections, advanced technical testing, and comprehensive engineering analysis.

Understand Your Building's Condition Before Making a Decision
We assess structural elements and evaluate the condition of concrete and reinforcing steel using specialized testing methods, then translate the findings into a clear engineering report that helps you make the right decision.
From Identifying the Defect to the Engineering Decision
Inspection
A visual inspection of the building and its structural elements is carried out to identify cracks, signs of deterioration, and other visible defects.
Testing
Appropriate tests are performed, including the Schmidt Hammer Test, Ultrasonic Pulse Velocity (UPV) Test, and Reinforcement Bar Detection.
Analysis
The test results are analyzed and correlated with the condition of the structural elements to identify the root causes of deterioration and assess their impact on the structure.
Report
A comprehensive engineering report is prepared, documenting the building's condition, test findings, and the appropriate technical recommendations.
A comprehensive assessment that gives you a clear understanding of your building's actual structural condition
We don't rely on visual appearance alone. Instead, we combine on-site inspection, field testing, and engineering analysis to deliver a clear and accurate assessment of the structure's actual condition.
The objective of the assessment is not only to identify defects, but also to determine their root causes, evaluate their impact on the structure, and recommend the most effective course of action.
Before Making a Major Investment or Critical Decision Regarding a Building
When Cracks or Settlement Become Visible
To identify the root cause of the problem and evaluate its impact on the safety and performance of the structural elements.
Before Repair or Structural Strengthening
To determine the most appropriate repair strategy based on accurate engineering findings.
Before Purchasing an Existing Building
To verify the building's structural condition before making a purchase decision.
Before Renovation or Adaptive Reuse
To determine whether the building can safely accommodate the proposed modifications or additional structural loads.

Before You Request a Service… Here Are Quick Answers
We've gathered the most frequently asked questions to help you understand the right service before getting in touch or requesting a test.
01 What Is the First Service I Need Before Construction?
In most cases, projects begin with a soil investigation or soil testing, depending on the project's nature and the consultant's requirements. These services help assess the site's characteristics before design or construction begins.
02 Does ProLab Perform On-Site Testing or Laboratory Testing Only?
We offer both. Some tests are performed in our laboratory, while others are carried out on-site, including field soil testing, testing during concrete placement, asphalt core testing, and selected Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) services.
03 Do I Only Need Concrete Testing During Placement?
No. Concrete can be tested during placement through slump testing and sample collection, and after it has hardened through cube, cylinder, or core testing. Existing concrete structures can also be evaluated using Non-Destructive Testing (NDT).
04 What's the Difference Between a Soil Investigation and Soil Testing?
A soil investigation identifies the soil layers beneath the site through drilling and sample collection. Soil testing, on the other hand, measures the properties of those samples, such as density, moisture content, CBR, permeability, particle size distribution, and Atterberg limits.
05 Can More Than One Service Be Performed for the Same Project?
Yes. Many projects require more than one service, such as soil investigations before construction, followed by concrete, aggregate, and asphalt testing during the different stages of work.
06 Is the Report Suitable for the Contractor or the Consultant?
Yes. The report is structured to be clear and practical for the responsible technical party managing the project, whether a contractor or consultant.
Request the Appropriate Test
